California County Superintendents Educational Services Association Local Control and Accountability Plan (LCAP) Approval Manual (2022-23 Edition)

The California County Superintendents Educational Services Association (CCSESA) developed and released the first LCAP Approval Manual in March 2014. The current version of the LCAP Approval Manual contains updates to the 2021-22 edition based on the State Board of Education approved LCAP template redesign and changes made to the LCAP template pursuant to AB 130. This manual provides a guide for county offices of education to use in their LCAP oversight and approval process. It represents a collaboration of CCSESA’s Business and Administration Steering Committee (BASC) and Curriculum and Instruction Steering Committee (CISC), with the assistance of staff from the California Department of Education and the Fiscal Crisis and Management Assistance Team.
