In March, eleven county superintendents traveled to Washington, D.C. for the annual CCSESA federal advocacy trip. Thanks to robust attendance, the CCSESA delegation was able to meet with 28 congressional and committee offices on key issues including funding for ESSA, IDEA, Secure Rural Schools (SRS) and Medicaid funding. The delegation also met with leadership of the National Head Start Association to discuss ongoing support for federally funded early education programs.
